Philbrook Museum Engagement Session Miss Oklahoma  Sunny Day & Jaron

There is a reason the Philbrook Museum of Art remains one of the most iconic, romantic locations for engagement photography in Tulsa. Between the timeless Italianate villa architecture and the sprawling, manicured gardens, every corner feels straight out of a classic love story.


When former Miss Oklahoma 2023 Sunny Day and her fiancé Jaron reached out about capturing their engagement session at Philbrook, I knew it was going to be magic. Sunny represented Oklahoma with such grace on the Miss America stage, and seeing her alongside Jaron—relaxed, laughing, and completely focused on each other—was an absolute joy to document.

We spent the session exploring the museum grounds, taking advantage of the golden light filtering through the trees and reflecting off the central pool. Sunny and Jaron brought such a playful, unscripted energy to the afternoon. Whether strolling hand-in-hand through the formal gardens or pausing on the grand stone staircases, their connection made every frame feel natural and unforced.
